2005 – It began with a string of random meetings between fellow musicians. Hip Hop concerts and culture events throughout the state of Florida would lead to end-of-weekend beat sessions amongst the collective of artists. Friends would choose samples and each producer would create their own interpretation by way
of instrumental. Emcees and vocalists would then freestyle over the very same beats that would ultimately become songs on their albums and mixtapes.
The years that would follow would bring a handful of artists and producers together along with their individual expertise to create Generation ILL: a full-service music production company presenting The Weekly Beat Sessions (a platform for producers from around the world to present their interpretation of a single sample) and a digital content aggregator keeping you up to date on what’s trending in pop culture, music, and the things that matter to us.
